Morning

Helen logs into the Educator Experience Place (EXP) to take attendance and check her timetable for the day. She can see a trend in classroom absenteeism, but notices from the Wellbeing check-in that the class sentiment is lifting after returning from school holidays.

She notices that Nikita submitted her English homework this morning, so she reviews the work and records her feedback in Teams Assignments and the mark in Marksbook, for ease when it's time for her to start reporting. She also adds a comment for Nikita’s parents, with suggested tools to support her learning from home.

Mid-morning

Helen is notified that all Learner permissions have finally been approved for the Year 6 Wildlife Excursion next week, and two parents have confirmed they will attend to support.

She notices her fellow teacher, John has used Generative AI to draft a lesson plan for their collaborative Year 6 History class they both plan to teach. She reviews the lesson she has shared in their Teacher Team and makes a note to update the Forms quiz she created to reflect the new plan.

Afternoon

While her Year 8 English class practice their speech, she reviews real time feedback from Speaker Coach and sees that 70% of Learners are feeling confident, but others have requested some additional feedback on their recordings. She asks her Virtual Assistant to set a reminder to provide feedback tomorrow morning.

After class, she adds a student note to Nikita’s student profile, commenting on her enthusiasm for the speech they’re working on. She sets notifications for the Head of Learning, Head of House and Nikita’s caregivers so they are aware of her excellent work ethic.

Before heading home, she checks the Priorities tile in the Admin tab of the EXP. This presents an up-to-date list of priorities from her inbox, calendar and tasks, and helps her stay focused on what’s important. She’s got quite a bit on her plate at the moment, so she goes into the My Wellbeing tab and sets focus time for tomorrow.

Evening

Acting on an article she read in the My Wellbeing tab, Helen switches off her device and spends the evening resting, in preparation for a busy day tomorrow.

Through a suite of digital tools, the platform connects Educators with Learners, Parents, Caregivers and peers. It frees up their time by improving efficiency, streamlining communication and reporting, and opens opportunity for collaboration.

Morning

Rachel starts the day from home and logs into her Leader Experience Place (LXP) to review the school’s latest financial performance.

Predictive AI has flagged an increase in next year’s fixed costs for asset maintenance and IT security, suggesting a 3.5% increase in enrolments will be required to compensate. She adds this note to her forecast for the Department of Education (DeptEd).

Finally, she opens the budget dashboard to check if there's anything that needs to be reviewed.

Mid-morning

She attends a Microsoft Teams call with local DeptEd and other local Principals to discuss a collaborative approach to staffing. She knows her Microsoft Copilot in Teams Meeting will take notes, including actions, allowing her to focus on the conversation.

Lunch

While Rachel commutes to school, she listens to a podcast about the application of AI in education that Helen posted in the Staff Team this morning, as she can see many of her teachers have already engaged with the content. She adds the podcast to the My Learning tab, along with some additional resources around the same topic and recommends it to all her staff.

She asks Microsoft Copilot to scan for any references to AI in the DeptEd compliance documents and highlights a recent risk analysis, which she shares via Loop in Teams with her Deputy for review and discussion.

Afternoon

Rachel adds in some real-time student performance data updates to her PowerPoint Presentation for her meeting with the school department heads to discuss student learning outcomes and wellbeing trends.

She also pulls a summary of applications from Power BI for the newly advertised early learning teaching position shared last week. She notes only 7 out of 43 applicants have experience with Dyslexia, a gap in staff knowledge identified during resource planning and reporting last semester.

She adds the meeting resources to the School Department Heads Team and leaves a message in the team to notify them that they’ve been uploaded.

Evening

Rachel reviews her day, noting that the priorities tile in the LXP has highlighted a few tasks she didn’t get to today, and uses the To Do tile to add them to her list for tomorrow.

Finally, she uses Microsoft Copilot to draft an email about a sensitive staff matter. She’ll review it tomorrow before sending.

Effective school leaders need to be across student wellbeing, parent engagement, human resources, finance, events and more. Connected Schools allows them to easily access information across all key areas, so they can lead with confidence and make decisions informed by data.

Morning

Maria logs on to the Administrator Experience Place (AXP) and notices a student’s parent has confirmed they’ll be transferring her to another school in regional NSW.

She removes the student from the automated Enrolments list for next term and sets her automated fees invoice to be sent at the end of the term.

Mid-morning

After answering any enquiries that came in overnight, Maria downloads the automatically generated enrolment reports from Power BI.

The predictive forecasts have suggested a slight dip in enrolments and recommended strategies to compensate. Maria asks Microsoft Copilot to validate these strategies against the Education Department’s policies and confirms three are viable, before she passes the report on to her Principal for review.

She follows up on outstanding attendance explanations from parents and generates a report for the Deputy Principal and shares it in Teams for him to review.

Lunchtime

Maria has pre-approval to work from home for the rest of the day, so she updates her Microsoft Teams profile status to show she is working remotely.

She checks the priorities tile in AXP to identify what she needs to focus on this afternoon.

Afternoon

Acting on a Task assigned to in her Planner by the Deputy Principal, Maria creates next term's accelerated learning class lists, ready to share with Educators next week.

Graduation is fast approaching, so Maria initiates the automatic generation of official documentation for the Year 12 students, ready to be printed for their Graduation ceremony.

She updates the Event Calendar with the event details and notifies Parents & Caregivers of the early arrive time, via the Parent Experience Portal.

Maria also notes that Principal Reyes has signed off on the newsletter in Teams Approvals, ready for her to add to the school website. She will also send the newsletter to alumni and others on the bulk communication list next week.

The more efficiently Student Administrators do their job, the better the school experience for all. Connected Schools allows them to manage enrolments, marketing, communication channels, notifications, learner records and events with ease, so the school runs seamlessly.

Morning

Alan starts his morning by checking his Teams and email for messages. He then gets onto the first task of the day - accessing the bank files to run automated receipting of debtor payments, ensuring he has the latest balances should he need to communicate with a fee payer.

Alan also uses Copilot to create a comprehensive summaryof fee payer account status and insights, using the latest transactional information.

He sends a to his manager with questions about some of the insights, seeking his recommendations. He'll take the necessary actions once he's heard back from his manager.

Mid-morning

While he’s working on another task, Alan receives a notification, alerting him that there’s been a change to a student’s subject enrolment. He checks to see if any finance adjustments are necessary. Alan enabled these notifications to save him having to search for any changes and it certainly makes his job easier!

Afternoon

After lunch, Alan runs reports to view stages of Purchases to prompt staff to approve or escalate. Automated vendor ayment runs will be presented to him to view and process ensuring the school remains an on-time payer by calculating due dates.

Alan gets a calendar invite from a colleague who is after some help on a new process they’ve introduced. He accepts the invite, glad people are reaching out for help.

Before finishing up for the day, Alan views the cashflow forecasting dashboards for a snapshot and insight to analyse upcoming requirements, so that he can estimate the schools’ future need for cash.

Connected Schools gives Finance Administrators one place to manage the numbers and operations for their school or system. From reporting on budgets and billing, to forecasting for future activities in their school or system.

Morning

On the way to school, Year 8 Learner Nikita opens her Student Experience Place (SXP) to check on today’s activities. She checks her timetable and sees a reminder that she’s got an English assignment due today, which she’ll submit via Teams Assignments.

She also notices she has a Maths quiz on Thursday and adds a reminder to her Outlook Calendar to study for it tonight. Her student profile suggests that she needs at least 81% in this quiz to remain at the top of her class. Finally, she checks the daily notices, to ensure she doesn’t miss anything important.

Mid-morning

During her extension Maths class, she uploads her latest project animation to the Year 8 Maths Extension Team so students from other classes can share ideas on how to improve. She can see five people have already viewed her upload and one has commented, before she’s even left class.

Lunch

Nikita does her final Teams Call for the Regional Robotics Coding Club. It’s been a great opportunity to collaborate and learn from others with the same interests from different schools but it only runs for a term and is finished now.

She opens the Co-Curricular tab of the SXP to check out what other opportunities are coming up next term for her to be involved in.

Afternoon

In her Humanities class, Nikita gets a notification from her teacher that she has returned Nikita's speech for review. She opens Teams Assignments to review the comments.

One of the recommendations is for Nikita to practice her speech using Speaker Coach which she'll do at home tonight. In the meantime, Nikita works on the group activity her teacher has set for the class in Collaboration space of the Class Notebook.

Evening

When Nikita gets home, she can see that her Humanities teacher has reviewed their group work from earlier today and has added some questions to the chat in the class Team. One of them is directed to her so she settles in to respond and complete the rest of her homework, as noted in her Outlook calendar.

In preparing for tomorrow, Nikita remembers she has an excursion to the Zoo for science. She has opted to meet her teacher at the Zoo entry, so she checks the local transport options in the Wellbeing tab of the SXP.

A notification from the school Parent Experience Place (PXP) reminds Jack that he needs to upload one or more required documents for Sarah’s application to start at high school next year. Jack doesn’t need to share Sarah’s academic transcripts luckily, as she’s already in the system from her primary school.

He can also see that Nikita's fees for next term re due in 30 days and that the booklist for next year has been released.

Lunch

Jack reviews Helens note about Nikita’s speech. Jack knows how hard Nikita has worked on the speech so he’s pleased to see that’s been acknowledged by her teacher. He’ll share it Nikita after school today.

Buoyed by this good news about English, Jack checks on Nikita's academic progress via her profile in PXP. He appreciates being able to keep a close eye on the progress of his children, in the one place. He’s concerned about Nikita's results in Physical Education, so he requests an with her teacher via Parent Connect in PXP.

Evening

While he’s planning their family holiday, Mr. Adams checks the School Event Calendar and notices the graduation ceremony dates have been added. He confirms he requires and flags his availability to support the sports carnival next term.
