Scyne is the incident response (IR) partner for multiple Australian state governments. This responsibility requires Scyne's Cyber & Tech Risk (C&TR) team to provide cyber incident response services to any impacted state government entity on a 24/7 basis.​

Our service acts as an extension of our client's IR and cyber threat intelligence (CTI) teams, bringing emergency technical capacity, incident management support, digital forensics, dark web data acquisition, eDiscovery and consequence management support for any situation a state government entity may encounter. We also frequently support with establishing tactical security monitoring functions where a victim organisation doesn't have that capability, and supporting with containment and recovery activities to get our clients back on their feet quickly and safely.​

Our people have been delivering this service to whole-of-state governments for several years now, and we have on-the-ground experience responding to some of the largest cyber attacks in Australian government history. We are immensely proud of the role we play in helping public sector and public purpose organisations navigate cyber attacks, and ultimately recover to a stronger position than before the attack.​​

At Scyne, we led the delivery of co-sourced internal audits across government departments and their cluster entities.
